We start each appointment by discussing the details of the wedding and reviewing styles from our signature silk collection.

You can preview the collection online and let us know specific styles you’re interested in, but we’ll also ask you a few questions and make suggestions that will best suit your needs.

In addition to the timing and location of the wedding, we’ll want to know:

1. Are you looking for long or short?
2. Do you have any neckline preferences?
3. Are you comfortable with sleeveless or do you prefer your arms to be covered?

We’ll pull a selection of dresses and gowns for you to try and usually our mothers-of find a style they love within the first couple of options.

We’ll figure out sizing together and if any customization or alterations are needed, we’ll discuss that next. We do all of our production and alterations in-house, so the process is seamless.

The last step is looking at color!

Online you’ll see Four Ply Silk and Satin styles available in a seasonal color palette, but we have a wider assortment of colors available in-house that can be previewed in the gallery below. We are also able to source custom colors if you need to coordinate with a specific palette or if you have a color in mind.

That process starts with a personal appointment with Mi Jong, the designer and founder of Emmelle. She’ll get to know you and your preferences and will sit down with you to design your perfect gown.
