Dear Loyal Clients & Friends,

We are so proud to have been a part of this Madison Ave community since opening Emmelle Boutique in 1982. Nothing brings me and our team greater joy than to witness (and to help you get dressed for) your many milestones and special life events.

While the closing of this chapter is bittersweet, we look forward to welcoming you to our new shopping experience at our Garment District atelier. We are excited to bring a new level of transparency to our process as we showcase our unique facilities and world class production team.

Visit us online and subscribe to our email newsletters to stay up to date on everything we have planned. Our full collections have been and will continue to be available online and we are only an email or phone call away when you need guidance or assistance.

Mi Jong Lee, Owner/Designer

Working closely with our Garment District atelier, we can provide made-to-measure and bespoke services. Our experienced team of stylists can assist you with custom sizing, colors and fabrics, as well as alterations and fittings. For special occasion couture garments, our head designer is also available for private consultation, by appointment only.

EMMELLE is a womenswear collection defined by a timeless aesthetic with an artistic perspective, focusing on unique, premium-quality fabrications sourced from Europe and Japan. The silhouettes are clean yet distinctive, reflecting the individuality and strength of the EMMELLE woman.

MI JONG LEE is a designer women’s ready-to-wear collection designed and produced under the creative direction of the brand’s namesake Korean-American designer, Mi Jong Lee. The collection’s pillars include classic foundations with a distinct influence from the world of fine arts, a refined embrace of color, original custom print design, and high ethics and sustainability standards.

Mi Jong Lee, born in Seoul, South Korea, grew up following her father’s diplomatic career and lived in diverse places such as Spain, Mexico, and Costa Rica. As a result, Lee's work is deeply influenced by art, architecture, and culture.

Lee followed her creative inclinations and studied at Parsons School of Design. In 1982 she opened a EMMELLE BOUTIQUE and began building a dedicated customer base with her distinct style of understated elegance.
